A wedding is five or six different events in one day. The ceremony wants something quiet and sure. The drinks after it want energy moving through a crowd of people who have not met. The reception wants a dance floor that fills and stays full. We have been matching entertainment to each of those moments for Sydney weddings since 2003, and handling the logistics so nobody is chasing a performer while you are getting married.
Tell us the venue, the numbers and the feel you are after, and we will send options that suit the room and the run sheet, with real video and honest advice about what will and will not work in your space.
Starting with the music? Bands, duos, soloists and DJs for every part of the day.
See live music & DJs →For the reception, Almost Famous Band is a five piece party band that specialises in weddings, Party Anthem Band and Planet Groove Band are the Sydney party bands we send when the brief is a full dance floor, and Mickey's Jazz Club reimagines the songs everyone grew up with. For the ceremony and canapes, Blue Velvet Jazz brings cool jazz and lounge, Chris Gable is an award winning multi instrumentalist and vocalist from the Central Coast, Wedding Guitarist Sydney does exactly what the name says, and Eli Malka is the booking for a couple who want something personal. For the drinks hour, Phoenix, "The Mind Guy", Liam Power and The Gentleman Magician rove the groups, and Sam the Caricaturist and The Cartoon Girl send guests home with a drawing. For a feature moment, Champagne Chandelier and Aerial Acts and Brosena Irish Dance are the acts couples ask us about for a feature moment.
Most of the roster is based in Sydney, with wedding acts on the Central Coast, in Newcastle and interstate for destination weddings, where travel is quoted up front. A dedicated wedding planning hub on Show Me Now, the platform we run our events on, is coming soon.
For a Saturday in the warmer months, as soon as the venue is locked. The popular wedding bands and the most requested roving acts are the first to go for those dates. For a weekday or a winter wedding a few months is usually enough, but if there is one act you have your heart set on, ask us early and we will check the date straight away.
A band gives the night a centrepiece and reads the room in a way a playlist cannot; a DJ gives you every song you want, exactly as you know it, and takes less space and setup. Many couples book both: a band for the first sets and a DJ to carry the dance floor to the end. Tell us the venue, the guest count and the kind of night you want and we will say which suits, honestly.
Often, yes. Several musicians on the roster play an acoustic ceremony set, a laid back set during canapes and then switch to a full band or duo for the reception, which is one booking and one setup instead of three. Where the day needs different energy at different points, we build it from two or three acts and run the handovers on the run sheet.
It is one of the most reliable bookings we make. During the drinks between the ceremony and the reception, while the photos are being taken, guests who do not know each other are standing around with a glass in hand. A roving magician or a caricaturist moving between the groups gives them something to talk about and keeps the energy up until the couple returns.
Yes. We confirm power, space, load in access, curfews and any sound limits with the venue before the booking is locked, and every act carries public liability insurance with the certificate supplied to the venue in advance. On the day the performers follow your run sheet, so nobody is chasing a band while you are getting married.
Yes. Sydney and the surrounding regions are where most of the roster is based, and we also have wedding acts in the Central Coast, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane and beyond. For a destination wedding we bring the right act in and quote travel and accommodation up front.
Take the finder or tell us about your event - we'll shortlist the right acts and check availability.
