Blue Velvet Jazz is a professional Sydney-based band performing classic Cool Jazz, setting the perfect mood with a comprehensive repertoire from jazz greats such as Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Julie London, Michael Buble, Astrid Gilberto, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter and George Gershwin.

All band members are professional musicians. The line up is adaptable to suit the venue and occasion, featuring Michael Trifunovic on guitar, Sarah Lorien’s unique vocals, Peter Rundle at the piano and the addition of double bass and jazz drums as requested.

Their performances have been at venues including Kirribilli House, the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Museum, Sydney Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney Sheraton On The Park, Sydney Hilton Hotel, Darling Harbour cruises, corporate functions, events,  weddings, birthday celebrations and cocktail parties.
