Based in Sydney, we promise to get your guests up and dancing to traditional Scottish dances such as The Dashing White Sergeant, Strip the Willow, the Pride of Erin Waltz and the Gay Gordons. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never danced before, our experienced host or ‘caller’ breaks down each step so it’s easy to learn and most importantly fun.

A ceilidh is an excellent ice-breaker and the perfect way to bring people together of all ages and levels of fitness. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of joy and laughter, so while the dances are traditional our approach is easygoing and informal.

About Your Caller

Every ceilidh needs a caller, someone experienced in all the dances and traditional music to call out the steps and keep the party moving along. Before immigrating to Australia in 2007, David hosted ceilidhs for a number of years in a huge range of venues in his native Scotland from local town halls to Dunblane Hydro.

David is a professionally trained dancer and singer with credits including Joseph, The Mikado, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Pirates of Penzance. He has toured the UK and performed on London’s West End. He was also an international hit as lead singer on a cruise liner!

David is an accomplished dance instructor and his patient, humorous and warm-natured style will ensure that your guests get the experience they deserve.
